A
The scenery was picture perfect. The water was deep blue and the afternoon sun shone a golden glow on the town. The sand on the beach sparkled like diamonds. Just the way I had envisoned this vacation.
B
I savor the early evening at the beach. The rays of the setting sun just tinge the waves. I can nearly taste the salt in the air. A light wind carries over a tang of the sweetness from the oleander in the park. Life is delicious.
C
I cannot describe this place with words. The waves rolling in with a gentle splash, the whisper of the wind in the trees, just a few voices here and there, music coming from the distance.
D
The beach was hard to beat: I loved walking on the fine sand, on and off getting my feet wet from the incoming waves. You could enjoy the warm sun rays on your skin but there was always a light breeze. And sinking deeply into the beach chair and relaxing—that felt so good.
E
I just love to walk along the beach and breathe it all in: the freshness of the air, the sun, the salty ocean mist, even the ubiquitous coconut oil as soon as you get your nose close to people. And as always, the smell of fabulous food draws me in to Johnny’s Kitchen at the Sea.
