Level 3
Trainer Training
Want to take the next step in patient care? Becoming a Comfort Talk® Certified Trainer will allow you to do just that!
Level 3 consists of two steps, four online segments followed by a 1.5 day live training. The Trainer Training Online Course is housed in the same web training portal as our Level 1 Online Course and prepares users for the live segment of the Trainer Training. To be eligible to participate in the Level 3 Trainer Training course, candidates must have completed Level 1 and 2.
To obtain Certification as a Comfort Talk® Trainer (Level 4), candidates will additionally be required to:
- Demonstrate successful use of techniques in their professional practice*
- Submit at least 6 suitable Suggestion Cards for the Training Support Module
- Participate in at least one live Comfort Talk® Level 1 & 2 training as co-trainer
- Pass a 100 question knowledge test
- Receive direct coaching by experienced Comfort Talk® trainers in preparation for at least one live training session
* Observation of the Trainer candidate by Comfort Talk® staff during at least two live teaching sessions will be used to assess and certify the candidates’ teaching ability. Grading centers on the successful application of the Trainer’s Guide. Feedback from trainers, candidates, and customer end-users by questionnaire and participant-initiated communication will serve as measures of efficacy and acceptability of the Train-the-Trainer candidate and also of certified trainers.
Continued trainer certification requires the continued demonstration of excellence in teaching and knowledge base every two years. Following the most recent skill descriptions in the Trainer Manual, submission of at least one patient management example or one coaching segment in the Virtual Reality Center will be required.
