Elvira V. Lang, MD, FSIR, FSCEH, President and CEO
Dr. Lang is President of the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis and a former Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. She is a world-renowned interventional radiologist and pioneer in the uses of hypnosis for medical procedures. She held leadership positions at the University Clinics of Heidelberg, Stanford, and Iowa and the Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. She is a leading expert in designing training programs for medical professionals. She is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
Stasia Collins, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Ms. Collins brings more than 25 years of health care sales, marketing, and management experience with Fortune 500 and start up medical device organizations. Corporations that she has represented include 3M, Medtronic, Smith and Nephew, and BioSphere Medical. She has extensive experience in conceptual selling to end users as well as C-suite personnel. Client relationships and customer satisfaction with our products and services are her priority. A graduate of Michigan State University, she also has her M.B.A. in Marketing from Loyola University and has earned numerous awards throughout her career.
Nicole Yankelovich, BA, Vice President of IT Design
Nicole Yankelovich is an expert in designing software systems for education, training, and distance collaboration. She conceived of the Open Wonderland 3D virtual world toolkit, which is used as the basis for the Comfort Talk ® Virtual Training Environment, while leading the Collaborative Environments research group at Sun Microsystems. Prior to joining Sun in 1991, she worked on hypertext research at Brown University, helping to pioneer some of the now-familiar concepts embodied in the World Wide Web. She holds seven patents related to interaction design and has published numerous articles and book chapters on virtual worlds, collaborative environments, speech applications, and hypertext. She recently held a Visiting Scientist position at the MIT Center for Educational Computing Initiatives and was the CEO of a startup called WonderBuilders. She oversees the design of the Comfort Talk Virtual Reality Training Center. She volunteers her time as Executive Director of the non-profit Open Wonderland Foundation and she is a long-time steering committee member of BostonCHI, the Boston chapter of the ACM’s special interest group on computer-human interaction.
Paula Davis, Chief Financial Officer
Ms Davis has 24 years experience in the medical device market holding positions of Director of Finance, Director of Cash Management and Treasury, and Chief Financial Officer. She has been independently consulting for various start up medical device companies, including Scandius Medical, InaVein, Relectance Medical, and Medical Capital Advisors for more than 14 years. Many companies in her portfolio of start-ups have successfully been sold to larger medical device companies in profitable acquisitions. Prior to her independent consulting she worked at Inovasive Devices, Inc., joining the company as employee number seven and remaining an integral part of the team through a successful IPO with over 250 employees. A graduate of Bryant University in Rhode Island, Ms. Davis also earned an MBA in Finance from Bentley University in Massachusetts.
Robert (Chip) Fuller, Chief Creative Officer
Mr. Fuller has enjoyed a career of more than twenty years in advertising, working for mega agencies Leo Burnett, Foote, Cone & Belding, D’Arcy and Bozell Worldwide. He has developed award winning ad campaigns for Kraft Foods, SC Johnson, Pearle Vision, Sunkist Orange Soda, Taco Bell and Tombstone Pizza. His 1989 tag line for Tombstone Pizza, “What Do You Want On Your Tombstone?” is still being used today. Mr. Fuller is a former US Marine and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Fuller’s marketing and creative expertise and assistance is available for hire to all Comfort Talk ® clients.
Paul Senn, EdM, Senior VP of Information Technology
Mr. Senn graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Personality Development and Assessment with cross registration in Software Engineering at MIT. His background is unique through the combination of management experience and hands-on technical skills. He has several patents in his name. Having been the lead developer and VP in several start-ups throughout several of their successful mergers and acquisitions he brings his extensive management abilities to fruition at Comfort Talk. Through his contributions and those of others (including the open source community), and leadership he provides the guidance and code to bring the vision of the company to life.
Michele Spilberg Hart, MA, Director of Education
Ms. Hart has an extensive range of experience in healthcare, technology and association management. She spent 10+ years in her own association management business, providing strategic and leadership services to both local and national professional medical societies to implement educational events, scientific meetings, and membership campaigns. Prior to that she enjoyed a career in corporate marketing communications, spanning network healthcare and engineering. She is a graduate of the University of Rochester and holds an MA in writing and publishing from Emerson College. She is also a registered yoga teacher and specializes in restorative yoga, a form of yoga which helps students achieve deeper states of rest and relaxation to maximize health.
Thomas Corino, BA, Multimedia Coordinator, Continuing Education Coordinator and Research Assistant
Tom has been extensively engaged in using visual media to effectively promote ideas and build audiences. He is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston where he produced and edited multiple short films, most notably Angela (2011) which was accepted to multiple film festivals including the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival, Charlotte Film Festival and Independent Filmmakers Showcase 2012 Film Festival. Since graduating in 2012 he has edited a feature length film, Approaching Normal, and has worked on multiple music documentaries in various roles of production. At Comfort Talk he has produced our Train-The-Trainer video series and instructional media and oversees the research efforts and integration. He is an active musician and lead of Rozamov.
H. Thomas Aretz, MD
Dr. Aretz is the Vice President, Global Programs at Harvard Medical International and Program Director for the Harvard Macy Institute. He is an internationally renowned expert in adult learning methods, and establishment and reorganization of academic programs and institutions, such as universities, medical schools and academic medical centers. He has served on many academic and hospital committees and industrial boards, and is the co-founder of three medical technology companies.
Kelley Chunn is the CEO of Kelley Chunn & Associates (KCA), a state-certified collaborative consultancy, which provides culturally smart strategies to promote social change. She has been leading her company for 23 years in providing strategic communications, cause marketing, and public relations services focused on diversity, inclusion, and positive social change in academic, government, for-profit, and non-profit institutions and businesses. A thought leader, Kelley Chunn, is also a speaker and freelance writer. Mr. Ganz has an extensive background both as entrepreneur and as an executive with large health care organizations as well as in the start-up environment. He previously served as President of the North American Renal Business for Baxter International Inc., Divisional VP and General Manager of Vascular Medicine at Abbott Laboratories, and as CEO of OmniSonics Medical Technologies. He is currently President and CEO of Aarvon Biosciences and Executive in Residence at the Cleveland Clinic.
Paul Levy served as the Chairman of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities as well as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority and is responsible for leading the “Boston Harbor Cleanup.” Mr. Levy served as past Executive Dean for Administration of Harvard Medical School. Mr. Levy is the former President and CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and is credited with leading the financially-close-to-demise BIDMC to financial soundness. Dinah B Vice, RDH, DDS
Dr. Vice is a practicing Doctor of Dental Surgery. She is the owner and CEO of Sunrise Dental with four dental group practices in the Raleigh Durham area. She graduated as a hygienist in 1972 and graduated as a Dentist in 1984. Due to the demands of patient care she is also a master practitioner of neuro linguistic programming as well as studies in hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Board of Hypnotherapy, American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programing, and Time Line Therapy Association. Patient comfort and compliance are constant goals in her offices. She is a wife of 44 years and grandmother of 11.
